“Amphibian” is a term formed by the union of the two words “double” and “life”, which originally indicated all the animals that lived partially underwater, and partially on earth.
Today it indicates a group of hybrid creatures of delicate equilibriums, often put to risk by climate change and human activities.

This work suggests looking at Venice as a hybrid entity, an amphibian living and breathing against time and modernity. A collection of visual observations concentrates on some vital dynamics of this entity, both true and imaginary, inspired by the mythical creatures of Medieval bestiaries.
